Hi, I'm Amellia Rose
Soul drenched, my music is a vocal journey through curated interpretations alongside a growing catalogue of original work. I am currently performing as a duo, in a stripped-back, elegant format. I treat every set as a curated experience and provide the flexibility to expand the line-up to include extra instruments, scaled to suit your space.BACKSTORY:
From the vibrant stages of the Mid North Coast to international waters, music has been the constant pulse of my life. My public musical journey began at twelve as a mezzo-soprano, fueling a lifelong appreciation for powerful and diverse vocal storytelling. Over the years, I’ve fronted rock bands, harmonised in world music choral performance, gospel ensembles, and brought traditional Celtic ballads to life at acclaimed sea shanty festivals.
Today, I return to my true center, drawing on a rich vocal tapestry of soul and jazz-imbued blues.
Raised and based on the Mid North Coast, I'm focused on creating engaging, community-centred experiences with magnetic performance and sharing soul-steeped atmosphere.

The voice is humankind's very first musical instrument, and sharing the innate and venerable connection that comes with it, is something that comes second nature to me. I don’t think I could have stopped singing from a very young age - much to my parents’ exasperation. This was especially true when bundled into six-hour-long road trips to Sydney, with their daughter composing medleys, singing ditties on repeat - turning backseats into stadiums. Music was always celebrated joyously in my household, and if my voice brings you joy, then that fuels my creative journey and allows me to keep crafting stories through song.
Timeless grooves of minimal Soul and Jazz-imbued blues are my natural focus & expression, though all rich vocals speak to me. If I could tell you something about myself, I would say that I care to do things well and immerse my musicianship into the shared community experience.
Where better to share this, than the spectacular Mid North Coast.
